Make it in Wales - STIWDIO 3
I live and work in the seaside town of Aberystwyth, but another ‘aber’ down the Welsh coast is Aberteifi. A booming market town which is worth driving along the Welsh roads to reach. Home of Hiut Denim, Bara Menyn, Theatr Mwldan, Crwst, Fforest just to name a few, and now home of Make It in Wales- Stiwidio 3.
“ Make it in Wales was founded by Suzi Park in 2015. For three years we ran craft workshops led by talented designer-makers in various venues across Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. We converted to a Community Interest Company in December 2018 and opened Stiwdio 3, our high street home in Cardigan. Make it in Wales at Stiwdio 3 is a community space offering a range of craft activities as well as a cafe, gallery and retail corner. A place where people can meet, eat, make and create.”
Located on Aberteifi high street ‘Stiwdio 3’ offers workshops from plant and eco dyeing to carving your own silver ring, upholstering a stool to sewing your own coat.
“We are now running the business as a not for profit organisation. We welcome any opportunities to collaborate and work alongside other businesses, makers and individuals to build on the vibrancy of our High Street.”
