SPRING 2020

As the world is slowly realising the impact of Covid 19, I’m finding it hard to put into words what’s in my head at moment. I don’t have the words or even the skill, but one skill I do have is to make beautiful things, and for now I have to concentrate on that. I design and make beautiful things, but more importantly I make thing to be handled, to be used, and to be loved generation after generation. Handwoven blankets aren’t the top of anyones agenda at the moment ( I doubt they’ll ever be) and that’s fine, but I’ll keep designing, keep making and for now I have to take every day as it comes.

I’ve struggled to work out the best way forward in this odd period. For me, I had to pause, just stop for a moment.  I felt the pressure and urgency of launching the most innovative, most exciting, most successful way of sharing on line, and I thought....I can’t.
I took my one pot of blue ink, and thought how fortunate I am. I’m grateful of my health, I’m grateful of this magical blue sky we’re seeing. I’m grateful that I get to do what I love everyday. I’m grateful for everyone who has liked, commented, emailed or purchased my work. I’m grateful for all the super cool people I have around me.
These postcards are heading out to people I need to thank. Thank you for supporting me, thank you for inspiring me, thank you for being in my little world and thank you for allowing me to pause. Take care of everyone around you.
