THE ATTIC STUDIO

I moved into the attic studio in September 2016. There was about 25 years worth of dust of the floor, walls, and ceiling but it was a space, and a space that could be mine. At that point I didn’t have a loom. Since my introduction to weaving in 2006 I knew that I needed a loom to practice, to produce, and to make. After 8 years of searching, the right loom came along (via Scotland)

Fast forward a few weeks of scrubbing, painting, a manic 24hr road trip to Scotland, and here we are! Beautifully placed 150cm wide loom -it fits like a glove.

My attic studio is a space to create; to think; to process; and most importantly to weave.

It’s my very own manufacturing attic.
